| BELARUSIAN STATE MUSEUM OF THE HISTORY OF GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR |
The only museum in the world giving a wide description of the history of World War Two. It was opened on November 7th 1944 when the war was still on. Museum exhibition is located in 30 halls and there are 80,000 unique items: a wide collection of documents and photographs, arms used by the army and partisan detachments, including home-made cannons, etc. There is a diorama of the concentration camp in Maly Trostenets, the third largest camp in Europe.

| MUSEUM OF ANCIENT

There is a permanent exhibition of articles of ancient Belarusian art - icons, ancient wooden sculpture, traditional weaving, including Slutsk belts, the widest collection in Belarus of Belarusian folk costumes from different regions of Belarus, items made from straw, ceramics, wood, etc.

| BOTANIC GARDEN
OF THE ACADEMY OF SCIENCE |
Visit to Botanic Garden, which is situated in the centre of Minsk and founded in 1932. It covers a large territory of 96 hectares. Within its gren "walls" the visitors feel as if they have travelled at once to the variuos latitude. A Manchurian oak tree, an American ash and many other plants have adepted well to the Belarus land. Here one can see practically the whole flora typical to Belarus.

| NATIONAL MUSEUM OF HISTORY AND CULTURE OF BELARUS |
The museum suggests for exposition a wide range of archaeological, ethnographical, coin collections, historical-military collections and a great number of ancient books and manuscripts, icons, old-style clothes and hand-made crafts. You can see rare pieces handicrafts made of porcelain, straw, etc. of different epochs which are famous throughout the world such as slutsk belts, ceramics, etc.
